Summary
As a NSX Network Engineer you will be a member of the Network Engineering Technology team.
- You will be responsible for the design, standup, and ongoing implementations of virtual
networking, segmentation, load balancing using NSX ALB and other NSX-T capabilities across
VMware platform.
Responsibilities
Network
- Designing and building secure, reliable and scalable NSX-T virtual networks across VMware
environments, connectivity and integrations with CaaS (Tanzu & Openshift), public cloud(vCloud
director) SDWAN, edge cloud and DR setup.
Security
- Implementation of VMware security controls and rules for segmentation.
To Qualify We Need You To Have The Following
- 8+ yrs experience combined background 3+ recent yrs focused on VMWare NSX virtual networking
and security
- Implement and configure NSX-T with vCloud Director
- Design additional network tenants based on requirements
- Adjust the NSX overlay design (VxLAN objects) to take into consideration the cloud zone schema
- Firewall security policy migration (physical FWs to NSX)
- Networking background in Route/Switch, Firewall, Load-Balancing, BGP, VXLAN
- NSX Routing design and sizing guidance
- Security policy design
- Expertise in VMware NSX-T running in production environment
- VMware NSX firewall expertise and using NSX for segmentation
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, managing, maintaining VMware NSX-T, NSX Managers,
NSX Controllers
- Cross vCenter NSX-V and NSX-T design and deployment & long distance vMotion
- Hybrid Cloud Connectivity (HCX)
- NSX automation tools vRA
- Expertise in network monitoring tool- vRNI
Background
- Preferred Skills - Min Bachelors, Masters or advanced level degree is preferred.
- Network Industry Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) Preferred
- Professional VMware NSX-T Data Center Mandatory
