About the Role:
We are looking for a data-driven and customer-focused Web Merchandiser to join our D2C team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right products are visible to the right customers at the right time, driving product discovery, conversion, upselling, and overall website & app sales growth through analytics-driven merchandising strategies and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve Product Discoverability: Ensure products are better discoverable on the company’s website(s) & app(s) across Home page, PLP (Product Listing Pages), PDP (Product Detail Pages), and other high-intent properties like website search, navigation, banners, etc. – all aligned with customer needs
Data-Driven Merchandising, Product Sorting & Product Recommendation: Use analytics and user behavior data to promote high-performing SKUs, optimize product sequencing, and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities through appropriate product recommendation strategies
Campaigns & Seasonal Merchandising: Curate product assortments and banners in line with promotional campaigns, new launches, and seasonal events.
Banner Management & Visual Merchandising: Use merchandising tools to manage homepage, landing page, and category banners effectively to support business and brand goals.
A/B Testing & CRO: Work with the product and design teams to conduct A/B tests and improve conversion rates on key pages through merchandising strategy.
Customer Journey Mapping: Understand the full user journey from ad click to checkout and optimize product visibility and recommendations accordingly.
Tool Utilization: Leverage product recommendation tools, banner management systems, and analytics dashboards to inform merchandising decision
Expertise with Ecommerce Platforms: Manage and optimize merchandising strategies in the ecommerce ecosystem (exposure to Shopify and compatible apps is desirable).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Communication, Merchandising, E-commerce, or related field (Preferred: NIFT or similar design institute).
Graduates in any discipline with experience in D2C fashion space are exempt from having a degree in specified domains
3–6 years of experience in an e-commerce merchandising role
Strong knowledge of the e-commerce and/or D2C business ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with product sorting, product recommendation and banner management tools
Shopify familiarity preferred
Proficient in Google Analytics and basic understanding of A/B & CRO tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
