Within Global Consulting Services, the Delivery pillar leads and empowers Member Firms and other Global areas to drive service delivery transformation and improve client delivery quality and efficiency. Overview of the role The Ascend PMO Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring streamlined operations through continuous improvements and coordination of planned activities across Ascend PMO. The professional will help accelerate execution of our shared agenda by streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.) to achieve greater efficiency and productivity for Ascend Program Operations. The Ascend PMO Manager drives operational efficiency by leading the program onboarding experience, coordinating planned activities, and implementing continuous improvements across the Ascend PMO. This role accelerates execution of strategic projects and optimizes reporting and PMO processes to enhance productivity for Ascend program operations. Key Responsibilities • Manage executive reporting processes, highlighting status and progress against key program milestones • Lead PMO talent operations, including program onboarding and offboarding experience, and program resource management • Build and demonstrate Ascend program knowledge, including knowledge of key stakeholders, relationships, and teams involved in the delivery of the Ascend program • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders; recommend automation and process improvements • Plan and execute meetings: draft agendas, organize sessions, and document follow-ups • Support team operations: managing recurring projects, organizing shared resources, and reviewing junior team members’ work • Facilitate PMO communications; route inquiries effectively to Ascend team • Coordinate across workstreams for cohesive engagement • Escalate risks and issues to Ascend program leadership for awareness, analysis, and next steps • Assist in the preparation of materials for leadership forums and summits, ensuring timely updates Requisite core skills • Self-driven and able to manage multiple projects independently • Excellent core consulting skills – i.e. analysis, research, synthesis, modelling, presentation including logical structuring and storytelling, superior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint • Experience in project management, senior stakeholder engagement and influencing outcomes • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating to, and working with, virtual teams, and senior leadership • Capable of responding quickly to high priority deadlines and ability to easily adapt to a change in direction • Proficiency in navigating ambiguity and adept at pre-emptively identifying potential challenges, proposing mitigation strategies, and implementing them. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and teaming skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence superiors and peers in a large and complex global organization • Experience in developing strategies and managing large-scale, complex transformation initiatives • Attention to detail with a proven record of delivering high-impact outcomes • Strong project and program management expertise with experience in PMO tools (MS Project, PMOne Smartsheet) • Prior experience in team leadership activities including recruiting, performance management, and coaching • Skilled in stakeholder management: building consensus, maintaining relationships, and influencing across teams • Excellent time management and responsiveness • Experienced in cross-level, global team collaboration in virtual environments • High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information • Added Advantage: Experience in innovation, strategy, operations, and transformation roles • Added Advantage: Familiarity with Ascend and related tools (e.g., PMOne) • Added Advantage: Knowledge of AI tools for process automation and operational efficiency Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team. • Work experience: 9+ years of relevant experience • Strong track record with previous teams/business • Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru • Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones • Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones) • Hybrid working: The individual is expected to come to the base office location at least 2 days a week as per the hybrid plan About Deloitte “Deloitte” is the brand under which independent firms throughout the world collaborate to provide services in a geographic area.
