Job Summary
The TGT Sanskrit Teacher is responsible for teaching Sanskrit language and literature to middle and secondary school students in accordance with CBSE curriculum guidelines. The teacher will promote language proficiency, grammar skills, cultural understanding, and appreciation of classical Indian literature through engaging and student-centered teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Sanskrit lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.
Teach Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, translation, and literature.
Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
Conduct periodic tests, examinations, and evaluations.
Maintain student attendance, academic records, and progress reports.
Use interactive and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning.
Encourage participation in language activities, competitions, and cultural programs.
Support students with varying learning abilities through differentiated instruction.
Integrate technology and audio-visual aids into classroom teaching where appropriate.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school functions, and staff meetings.
Ensure a disciplined, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit or related subject.
B.Ed. degree mandatory.
Strong command of spoken and written Sanskrit.
2–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
Experience teaching CBSE curriculum is an advantage.
