Role Description
Mainframe Technology Operations is seeking a Technology Operations Specialist to act as an IT Asset Owner (ITAO) for selected mainframe infrastructure assets, including third-party software products and internally managed software. The role supports asset lifecycle management, audit readiness, regulatory compliance and operational governance across critical technology assets.
The role also includes management of high-value software renewals and support for vendor contract governance. As IT Asset Owner (ITAO), you will help ensure that critical assets remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements and that technical decisions are aligned with Global Procurement processes to support risk management and cost efficiency.

Your key responsibilities
Audit and regulatory support
Prepare and maintain documentation and supporting evidence for internal and external software audits to ensure timely and accurate responses.
Act as a primary point of contact for audit-related requests, including coordination with external auditors such as EY (Ernst & Young).
Support adherence to SOX requirements by maintaining internal controls and providing documentation for quarterly and annual reviews.
Monitor and address compliance gaps using internal governance and risk management tools, including the Control Workbench Dashboard and dbGRC.
Software lifecycle and vendor management
Manage the end-to-end renewal process for non-IBM software assets to ensure continued service coverage and timely contract execution.
Work closely with Global Procurement and relevant stakeholders to coordinate software renewals and support vendor governance activities.
Information Technology Asset Ownership (ITAO)
Act as IT Asset Owner (ITAO) for CA Top Secret and PICS, with responsibility for governance, compliance, and lifecycle oversight.
Maintain accurate asset and control data across internal systems, including Waltz, Idaho, and the DRP Portal.
Your skills and experience
Strong understanding of audit, SOX, and IT control frameworks.
Experience in vendor management, including software renewals and invoice reconciliation.
Proficiency in governance and risk management tools, including Waltz, dbGRC, and JIRA.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage financial deadlines and contract milestones effectively.
Relevant experience in mainframe (IBM Z) production support, including incident, problem, and change management within a 24x7 or business-critical environment.
Working knowledge of z/OS concepts and associated tools, including TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JES2, CA Top Secret, JCL/PROCs, and datasets/VSAM.
Understanding of online and database subsystems such as CICS, IMS, and DB2, with the ability to work effectively with application teams and system programmers during incidents and change activities.
Experience with workload scheduling, automation, and monitoring tools such as CA-7, TWS, and OMEGAMON, as well as operational reporting and analysis using Excel.
Working knowledge of mainframe security and access controls, including CA Top Secret, and experience supporting audits, evidence collection, and control attestation activities.
