TEAM OVERVIEW The Investment Technology group at KKR builds and operates the systems that power the entire investment lifecycle—from deal sourcing and portfolio construction to risk management and monetization. We design platforms that connect data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets, enabling investment teams to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. Our mandate is to transform how KKR invests by engineering shared, data-driven platforms that replace fragmented legacy tools with integrated solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and alpha generation. POSITION SUMMARY As a Senior Engineer, you are an experienced and independent contributor trusted to design and deliver complex features and components that directly support KKR’s investment platforms. You are accountable for the quality, reliability, and correctness of your work, and you proactively identify risks, tradeoffs, and improvement opportunities.You operate with minimal supervision, contribute meaningfully to design decisions, and raise the technical bar through consistent execution and mentorship. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Own the design and delivery of complex features and components from implementation through production. • Design solutions with clear interfaces, appropriate tradeoffs, and long-term maintainability. • Anticipate technical and operational risks and address them proactively. • Ensure appropriate testing, reliability, and deployment readiness for your work. • Review code and designs, raising overall quality and consistency across the team. • Mentor junior engineers and support their development through guidance and feedback. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with 6–12 years of experience. • Significant experience building and operating production software systems. • Strong technical design skills and disciplined problem-solving approach. • Ability to articulate design decisions and tradeoffs clearly. • Proven ownership mindset and accountability for outcomes. • Interest in understanding how technology enables investment decision-making. • Tech Stack: AWS (EKS, RDS, Aurora), Python (FastAPI), React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kestra, PySpark, AI-assisted development tools.
