Job Title: Technical Trainer
Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and growth-oriented Technical Trainer who will contribute to product enablement, implementation training, and internal capability building for assigned Qualys products.
This role is designed as a progressive ownership role. Over time, the Technical Trainer will evolve into a Product Owner for assigned products — owning implementation frameworks, structured training programs, and mentoring Technical Implementation Engineers (TIEs).
This position combines technical depth, hands-on implementation exposure, and structured learning design.
Work Model
Relocation to Pune required.
Hybrid model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Global Role - may involve Night shifts to Train global audience
Role Structure
This is a dual-impact role involving:
• Training Design & Delivery
• Implementation Exposure & Enablement
As you grow in the role, you will progressively take ownership of product-level enablement responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities (Initial Phase)
Training Delivery & Content Development
• Deliver structured technical training sessions for:
• Technical Implementation Engineers (TIEs)
• Support teams
• Engineering stakeholders (where required)
• Assist in developing training materials including:
• Instructor-led modules
• Lab guides
• Break-fix scenarios
• Assessments
• Support creation and maintenance of virtual lab environments
• Consolidate product knowledge into structured learning modules aligned with learning principles
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) knowledge consolidation
Implementation Exposure
• Shadow and assist in customer onboarding projects
• Participate in architecture discussions and deployment reviews
• Understand implementation milestones, deployment sequencing, and integration workflows
• Support documentation of implementation best practices
• Identify automation opportunities in onboarding processes
Progressive Ownership (Growth Path)
Over time, the Technical Trainer is expected to grow into:
• Owning a defined group of products end-to-end
• Designing structured implementation training programs independently
• Training TIEs on deployment models and architecture validation
• Training Support and Engineering on internal architecture and troubleshooting
• Mentoring TIEs during post-training implementation cycles
• Executing implementation projects independently
• Researching product behavior, APIs, and integrations independently (without relying on SMEs for every knowledge requirement)
• Defining onboarding frameworks and standard deployment patterns
The role is designed to evolve into full product ownership based on demonstrated capability and technical depth.
Required Skills & Experience
•
3–7 years of working or Training experience in Enterprise IT products (Security, DevOps, QA, Support, or Implementation roles)
• Strong understanding of enterprise software fundamentals:
• Operating Systems
• Networking
• Cybersecurity concepts
• Cloud Platform fundamentals
• APIs
• Databases
• Strong troubleshooting mindset
• Ability to learn complex technical systems independently
• Clear communication and presentation skills
• Interest in both implementation and training domains
• Ability to manage parallel responsibilities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Technical Support , customer onboarding , Technical Training or technical implementation
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Basic scripting experience (Python, Bash, API scripting)
• Experience building lab environments
• Familiarity with Qualys products
