You will be instrumental in the design, development, and enhancement of our MFT platform, building high-quality, scalable, and secure software that powers enterprise data exchange for more than 1,000 customers worldwide.</p> <p>As a Lead Software Engineer on the MFT SaaS team, you will:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Technical Leadership &amp; Architecture:</strong> Define the path forward for complex engineering problems, establish best practices, and mentor the team to excel, while driving the architecture, security, compliance, and observability of our Java/Spring Boot microservices.</li> <li><strong>Platform and Infrastructure Ownership:</strong> Drive the deep understanding, architecture, and evolution of our core platform and infrastructure, focusing on resilience, communication between components, and scalability.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration:</strong> Facilitate and drive cross-team collaboration with Product, QA, and other engineering groups to ensure end-to-end alignment and successful product delivery.</li> <li><strong>AI Integration:</strong> Research and apply AI/ML concepts and their usage to innovate and enhance the MFT product capabilities (e.g., intelligent routing, predictive maintenance, enhanced security).</li> </ul> <p><strong>YOUR EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li><strong>10+ years</strong> of professional software engineering experience, with significant focus on high-scale SaaS platforms.</li> <li>Strong Java, Spring Boot, and REST API skills with a solid understanding of <strong>OOP, design patterns, and architecture principles</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Cloud Platform Expertise (AWS Preferred):</strong> Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform, with a deep understanding of cloud concepts including<strong> networking, security, and cost optimization</strong>.</li> <li><strong>AI Awareness:</strong> Proven familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their usage, with practical experience or a strong conceptual understanding of how to apply these techniques to solve engineering problems.</li> <li><strong>DevOps Expertise:</strong> Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as <strong>Terraform</strong>, and automated platform management.</li> <li><strong>EKS/Kubernetes:</strong> Mastery of container orchestration, specifically with <strong>EKS</strong> (Elastic Kubernetes Service), including managing inter-component communication and cluster operations.</li> <li><strong>Protocol Understanding:</strong> In-depth understanding of enterprise file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2) and secure communication protocols.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering peers.</li> <li>Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with <strong>SAP</strong>.</li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="css-1i27f3a"> <div class="css-ey7qxc"> <div class="css-1s1axh3" data-automation-id="jobPostingDescription"> <p><em>If you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>THE LEGAL BIT</strong><br>Redwood is an equal opportunity employer.
