About this role

Meet the Team   The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi. Your Impact   As a Technical Lead, you will drive architecture and technical direction for embedded software across wireless access point platforms. You will lead cross-functional efforts, ensure system-level alignment, and deliver high-quality, scalable wireless solutions.  In this role: Define architecture and technical direction for embedded software systems Lead cross-functional design and execution across platform, radio, QA, and cloud teams Drive development of complex features and system capabilities Guide debugging and resolution of critical system-level issues Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards across the team Influence product direction through strong system-level understanding Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the team Minimum Qualifications Have 10+ years of experience in embedded or systems software development Strong expertise in C/C++ and system architecture Deep understanding of Linux, networking protocols, and system design Proven ability to lead technical efforts across teams Strong system-level thinking across multiple software layers Excellent collaboration and communication skills Ability to influence technical direction and execution Preferred Qualifications Strong experience with wireless systems and Wi-Fi technologies Experience designing large-scale or complex embedded systems Experience working across globally distributed teams Familiarity with modern AI-driven development workflows Why Cisco?
