Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) is delivered through a Customer Identity and Profile Management (CIPM) service, enabling secure, seamless digital customer experiences for a large, hyper-connected customer base. CIAM is a specialized domain within Identity and Access Management (IAM) and plays a critical role in establishing trusted digital relationships, secure data sharing, personalization, cross-channel engagement, and business intelligence.
This role is responsible for maximizing the business value of technology solutions by aligning business requirements with enterprise application landscapes, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities. The position owns the technical design and delivery of end-to-end CIAM solutions across business, data, application, platform, and security domains, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and future-ready.
The CIPM Tech Lead drives technical activities from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, portfolio roadmaps, and organizational IT and security standards, while meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Must Have:
Strong expertise in Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) and Auth0 / Okta platforms
Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management using OAuth, SAML, MFA, FIDO, and SCIM 2.0
DevOps and enterprise operations experience, including GitHub and GitHub Actions
Incident management, production support, and ITSM request handling using tools such as ServiceNow
API security and system integration using REST-based services
Observability, monitoring, and operational readiness for identity platforms
Good to Have:
Front-end experience using JavaScript, HTML, and Node.js
Auth0 UI customization including Universal Login and Advanced Custom UI
Experience with migration programs and large-scale user onboarding
Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance practices
Application onboarding and change management experience
Exposure to Akamai and edge security ecosystems
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a global CIAM subject matter expert, providing technical leadership and guidance
Lead the design, integration, and deployment of enterprise-scale CIAM solutions
Drive requirements discovery, analysis, and technical solution definition
Facilitate discovery workshops to understand business requirements and operational processes
Define technical solution designs and integration approaches aligned to business outcomes
Conduct security and technical design reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and best practices
Identify technical and security gaps and define mitigation approaches
Drive adoption of CIAM platform standards and best practices across delivery and support teams
Support CIAM policy development and regulatory compliance initiatives
Collaborate closely with vendors, system integrators, and global delivery teams
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Own and maintain technical, security, and system documentation across the solution lifecycle
Core Technical Requirements:
Proven experience delivering scalable, high-performance CIAM solutions supporting mission-critical consumer platforms
Strong server-side development experience using Java and or .NET
Client-side framework experience using Angular, Node.js, or similar technologies
Deep hands-on expertise with identity and access standards, including LDAP, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SCIM, SSO, and RBAC
Strong experience with REST and SOAP integrations using XML and JSON
Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture and security fundamentals, including cryptography
Experience integrating enterprise applications with identity providers using federation standards
Hands-on experience with CIAM platforms such as Auth0, Akamai, or equivalent solutions
Familiarity with API and developer tooling such as Postman
Mobile identity integration experience using React Native, Ionic, or Xamarin is an advantage
Security, Compliance, and Platform Standards:
Strong understanding of enterprise technology and solution design frameworks
Experience producing high-quality technical designs and solution documentation
Background in information security with a strong focus on IAM and CIAM threat modeling
Strong knowledge of identity, privacy, and data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and their impact on solution design
Ensure consistent and high-quality IAM and CIAM practices across enterprise platforms
