BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a
Technical Artist - Tools/Automation
as a full-time
Permanent
role. The position is based out of Coimbatore.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting in building AI-based tools for image generation, video preparation, and post-production support.
Developing automation pipelines using tools like n8n, Python scripts, or agent-based orchestration.
Supporting the integration of generative models directly into established creative workflows.
Testing new tools, preparing datasets, and creating clear technical documentation and user guides.
Collaborating with Technical Supervisors and VFX Leads to improve tool usability and production efficiency.
Exploring and contributing innovative ideas related to tool design and emerging VFX workflows.
Ensuring all developed tools meet the specific functional requirements of the production teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Experience: Background in Computer Science, VFX, Film Technology, Animation, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Python programming and a strong willingness to learn new development tools.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with tools such as ComfyUI, SwarmUI, A1111, or similar generative AI platforms.
Technical Skills: Experience with low-code or no-code platforms for rapid prototyping and automation.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with UI frameworks like Gradio, Streamlit, or various node-based interfaces.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of MLOps concepts including versioning, monitoring, and logging.
Soft Skills: Self-motivated, curious, and open to constant experimentation with new technologies.
Soft Skills: Strong interest in VFX, filmmaking, design, and the evolution of emerging technologies.
Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-standard tools like Nuke, Blender, or Unreal Engine is a plus.
Knowledge: Interest in automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or similar workflow orchestration tools.
