Seventh Triangle Consulting is a Shopify-focused engineering consultancy. We build and maintain public Shopify apps used by merchants globally, alongside custom app development and retainer projects for clients. Our team of 10 engineers works at the intersection of e-commerce, product engineering, and AI-assisted development.

The Role:
We are looking for a Tech Lead to own the technical health of a squad of engineers working on Shopify public apps and client projects. You will be the first line of quality, the first point of escalation, and the person who keeps delivery on track without needing to be managed yourself.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will still write code, review PRs, debug production issues, and jump on client calls. But you will also be accountable for how your squad performs, not just how you perform individually.
Responsibilities:
Review PRs and maintain code quality standards
Debug production issues and own RCA processes
Monitor AWS CloudWatch logs and manage deployments
Design scalable technical solutions and support architecture decisions
Handle client communication and delivery tracking
Manage developer task flow, blockers, leave, and team coordination
Coach developers and improve engineering practices
Requirements:
Strong Shopify app development experience (public or custom apps)
Hands-on AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM
Experience with Node.js, React, REST/GraphQL APIs, Git, Shopify APIs
Strong communication and client-handling skills
Experience reviewing PRs and maintaining engineering quality
Ability to independently identify and solve root causes
Daily usage of AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or similar
