Data Governance and Master Data Management Team
as the
Talent, Learning & Survey Data Lead
— the dedicated data governance and MDM authority for Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Employee Survey data across Workday, Cornerstone, Qualtrics, and other platforms.
In this role, you will be the
data governance and MDM center of expertise
for how talent acquisition, learning, and employee survey data is defined, standardized, maintained, and leveraged across Sanofi globally. You will lead a team of 3 data professionals and partner closely with
Global Process Owners (GPOs)
who serve as the business data owners, along with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, Technology Strategy, and Data Analytics teams — contributing the data perspective to ensure that TA, Learning, and Survey data is accurate, compliant, AI-ready, and fit for purpose.

Main responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition, Learning & Survey Master Data Governance — Core Accountability
•
Contribute the data governance and MDM perspective
for Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Employee Survey data — including standards for data creation, maintenance, and lifecycle management across all relevant platforms
•
Partner with Global Process Owners (GPOs)
who serve as the business data owners to define and enforce
global data standards, taxonomies, and canonical models
for TA, Learning, and Survey data entities
• Establish and maintain the
authoritative data models for TA, Learning, and Survey domains
, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy across Workday Recruitment, Cornerstone, Qualtrics, and other survey platforms
• Govern
data attributes across TA, Learning, and Survey domains
— including candidate lifecycle data, requisition data, course catalogs, learning history, certifications, compliance training, and survey response data
• Serve as the
data governance authority
on TA, Learning, and Survey data definitions, business rules, and data quality standards — partnering with and supporting
Global Process Owners
in their data ownership decisions
• Ensure all data changes are governed through a
structured, auditable, and compliant change management process
• Oversee
data ownership processes and accountability frameworks
, enabling Global Process Owners to fulfil their data responsibilities effectively
Workday Recruitment & Learning Data Expertise — Core Accountability
•
Lead data governance for the Workday Recruitment Module
— including candidate lifecycle, requisition data, application data, offer management, and recruiting analytics — this is a non-negotiable core requirement
• Govern
learning data in Workday and Cornerstone
including course catalogs, learning history, certifications, and compliance training records
• Ensure
data quality and consistency
across Workday HCM, Workday Recruitment Module, and Cornerstone
• Support
TA process enhancements in Visier and Workday
with data strategy and governance guidance
•
Mentor and coach the team
on Workday Recruitment Module, Cornerstone, and survey platform data structures and governance
Employee Survey Data Management
•
Lead data governance for employee survey data
across Qualtrics and other survey platforms
• Establish
data standards for survey design, response data, and survey analytics
to ensure consistency and comparability across survey cycles
• Ensure
survey data integration with Snowflake
for cross-domain analytics and reporting
•
Partner with Employee Experience and Engagement teams
on survey data requirements and governance
• Enable
survey data for sentiment analysis and AI-driven insights
Privacy, Compliance & Security
•
Govern the data security model
for TA, Learning, and Survey data across Workday and other platforms — defining and maintaining standards for data access, creation, and approval
•
Ensure privacy compliance for candidate data
including data purging governance and GDPR requirements specific to talent acquisition data
• Define and maintain
data access policies and security classifications
for sensitive candidate and employee data
• Manage and maintain
data sharing agreements and protocols
for TA, Learning, and Survey data shared across systems and geographies
• Conduct regular
security and compliance reviews
and identify compliance risks related to candidate data exposure or policy breaches
Snowflake Data Foundation Enablement
•
Lead the data governance contribution to building a strong Snowflake data foundation
for Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Employee Survey domains — ensuring data is accurately represented, structured, and accessible for downstream consumption
• Define
data sharing protocols and pipelines
from Workday, Cornerstone, and survey platforms to Snowflake
• Ensure
data quality, completeness, and structural integrity
of TA, Learning, and Survey data flowing into the data foundation
•
Partner with Technology Strategy, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics teams
to ensure the data models in Snowflake support workforce analytics, talent analytics, and learning effectiveness reporting
• Govern
data lineage and traceability
from source systems to Snowflake consumption layers
• Ensure the Snowflake data foundation supports
talent acquisition analytics, learning effectiveness reporting, and employee engagement insights
Strategic Business Partnership & Transformation
•
Propose and validate domain data requirements
supporting GPOs in transformation and continuous improvement for TA, Learning, and Survey domains
•
Translate process needs to data needs
for the organization across TA, Learning, and Survey domains
• Serve as the
key point of contact
for any tech and process initiatives where TA, Learning, or Survey data decisions or change is required
• Drive
standardization and harmonization efforts
supporting GPO, Workday Leapfrog Projects, and AI initiatives
•
Create roadmap with GPO and Senior Stakeholders
for ensuring developments make true business impact
AI Enablement & Data Quality
• Drive
data quality and AI readiness strategies
for TA, Learning, and Survey data, ensuring data is structured and reliable for AI and advanced analytics consumption
• Lead
root cause investigation of data quality issues
across Workday, Cornerstone, and survey platforms — not just detection, but structural resolution
•
Develop AI strategy for knowledge content
related to TA, Learning, and Survey data to enable AI initiatives
• Automate
data validation and anomaly detection
where possible
• Monitor adoption of global data standards and detect re-introduction of local deviations
•
Partner with Data Analytics teams
to ensure data meets analytical, reporting, and AI readiness requirements
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and manage a team of
3 data professionals

•
Data Classification, Standards & Definitions Partners
— responsible for translating governance decisions into usable data assets, maintaining the data catalog, glossary, lineage, and definitions for TA, Learning, and Survey domains
•
Data Quality & AI Readiness Analysts
— responsible for data quality monitoring, root cause analysis, remediation, and AI readiness across TA, Learning, and Survey data
• Provide
performance management, hiring, coaching, and professional development
for team members
•
Lead stakeholder management
across
Global Process Owners, Strategic Workforce Planning teams, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, HR Transformation, Technology Strategy, Data Analytics teams, IT, and Legal
• Train and support
Local Data Champions
on TA, Learning, and Survey data standards and governance
About you
Required Experience & Skills
•
5+ years of experience
in data management, data governance, or analytical roles with demonstrated leadership experience
•
Deep, hands-on expertise in Workday HCM and Workday Recruitment Module
— including candidate lifecycle, requisition management, application data, and recruiting analytics — this is a non-negotiable core requirement
•
Strong experience with Talent Acquisition data management
including candidate lifecycle, requisition data, and recruiting analytics
•
Experience with learning data management
and learning platforms — Cornerstone strongly preferred
•
Experience working with employee survey data
and survey platforms — Qualtrics or similar
•
Experience enabling or consuming P&C data in Snowflake
or equivalent data foundation platforms
• Demonstrated success in
team leadership and people management
(managing 3+ professionals)
•
Experience working with Global Process Owners and Technology Strategy teams
in a data governance capacity
•
Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Employee Experience teams
on data requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a
partnering model
— contributing data expertise while respecting business ownership and decision rights held by Global Process Owners
Education & Technical Skills
• Degree in
Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, Data Management, or a related field
(Master's degree preferred)

Workday HCM Pro Certification required
•
Workday Recruitment Module Certification required
•
Deep expertise in Workday Recruitment Module
— candidate management, requisition lifecycle, and recruiting analytics

Strong knowledge of Cornerstone or other LMS
