If so, let's start the conversation. Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Data Center Administrator - L1 to join our Data Center Operations team . In this role, you will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of compute and link alerts, physical installation of server hardware, and the end-to-end management of Linux operating systems to ensure maximum environment stability . You will join a dedicated team of infrastructure specialists focused on maintaining high-performance data center functions and delivering seamless technical support across cross-functional domains . What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Responsibility 1: Execute the physical deployment, rack mounting, and cabling of server hardware while conducting thorough testing and validation to ensure all configurations meet reliability standards . Responsibility 2: Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to resolve hardware issues and ensure the seamless integration of server components . Responsibility 3: Ensure compliance with organizational standards by performing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) OS hardening, managing security policies, and maintaining Knowledge Base documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) . What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have: 2+ years of experience in Data Center Operations or a related technical environment . Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x and 8.x), virtualization technologies like VMware or Nutanix, and core protocols including DNS and SNMP . Proven ability in problem-solving and proactive monitoring using tools such as PRTG or Zoho to remediate system alerts and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical cases . A Bachelor of Engineering in Computers , Master of Computer Applications , or a related Information Technology degree, supplemented by a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification .
