Purpose of the Role:
To provide comprehensive counselling to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring they are well-informed about their condition, treatment options, and associated processes. The role also focuses on coordinating patient care, enhancing patient experience, and supporting smooth clinical and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Counselling & Support:
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
Explain surgical procedures, treatment options, benefits, risks, and expected outcomes clearly
Address patient queries and concerns with empathy and confidence
Guide patients in selecting suitable treatment plans and packages
Pre- & Post-Operative Coordination:
Schedule surgeries and coordinate with doctors, OT, and support departments
Ensure all pre-operative investigations and documentation are completed
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
Conduct follow-up calls to monitor recovery and patient satisfaction
Patient Handling & Experience:
Maintain a patient-friendly environment with a positive approach
Assist patients in navigating departments and completing procedures on time
Ensure a smooth and hassle-free patient journey
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate patient records in EMR/CRM systems
Update counselling reports and treatment details regularly
Coordinate with internal teams for seamless information flow
