Job Purpose (Significance of the role & Objectives)
Ensure quality and reliability of electrical, electronics, and battery system components sourced from supplier networks (HV/LV wiring harnesses, PCBA, battery components, control modules). Drive supplier quality processes (APQP/PPAP), performance assessments, audits, and corrective action to meet Pravaig quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Lead supplier qualification and assessment activities for electrical/electronic parts including HV/LV harnesses, PCBAs, ECUs, connectors, and battery modules.
Establish and maintain supplier quality standards, documentation, and control processes for electrical/electronic products.
Conduct supplier process audits (on-site and remote) evaluating PCB assembly, harness fabrication, electrical testing, and quality system compliance.
Collaborate with design engineering on DFMEA, test method reviews, and manufacturing readiness to mitigate risks early in the design cycle
Drive root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone), corrective action plans, and continuous improvement with suppliers for electrical/electronic quality concerns.
Monitor supplier performance indicators (defects, on-time delivery, yield, audit results).
Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to electrical/electronic manufacturing and EV safety
Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
3–7+ years experience in electrical/electronics supplier quality, automotive electronics QA/QE, or electronics manufacturing quality.
Strong understanding of quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, MSA) and electrical/electronic testing standards.
Experience with electrical test verification, harness quality, PCBA inspection standards (IPC where relevant).
