Job Description We are looking for a Strategic Alliances Lead, who will be responsible for planning and executing Rockwell Automation’s Strategic Alliance Partner program in India, driving market share expansion and profitable growth through partner-led initiatives across three key pillars—Technology Alliance Partners, Consulting Partners  and the Education Segment—each enabling a distinct yet integrated go-to-market approach to strengthen the ecosystem and accelerate business outcomes. You will report to the Partner Growth Leader, India and work onsite in Gurgaon , India Your Responsibilities: Technology Alliance Partners (Existing & New) Enable Strategic Alliance program affinity teams to drive a consistent Rockwell Automation approach across partner engagements. Enable creation of Co-Marketing Overlays (CMOs) with alliance partners. Prepare frameworks for engagement between RA and Strategic Alliance partner organizations. Co-develop marketing plans to promote RA and partner messaging for target customer industries. Build and sustain relationships with key staff in partner organizations. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures per Rockwell Automation standards. New Partner Qualification & Onboarding: Support engagement of the RA ecosystem (Distributors, SIs) within each alliance initiative. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new technology partners based on portfolio complementarity and market potential. Define and execute the integration pathway between the partner's solution and Rockwell's existing software and control stack. Develop the Joint Value Proposition (JVP) and co-authored solution architecture for each qualified partner. Define the end-to-end GTM strategy and business development motion in collaboration with the partner and internal sales/BU stakeholders. Establish partner onboarding milestones and governance cadence to ensure time-to-market discipline. Consulting Partners Map and engage key consulting firms that offer a complementary fit to Rockwell Automation's portfolio. Build structured engagement models with target consultants to position RA solutions early in project specification cycles and create joint Go-to-Market model Develop co-engagement frameworks that enable joint customer pursuits and proposal support. Track and report on pipeline and co-developed opportunities. Coordinate with RA Sales Leadership and Business Units to align engagements to priority verticals and accounts. Education Segment & Institute Engagement Build and manage the Rockwell Automation ecosystem of education and academic partners across India. Lead institute-level engagements to establish formal partnerships through MOU signings and Center of Excellence (COE) creation. Co-define COE themes aligned to Rockwell's portfolio (e.g., digital engineering, smart manufacturing, IIoT, process automation). Support partner institutes in curriculum development, embedding RA technology and industry use cases into academic programs. Drive industry-academia engagement via joint initiatives such as hackathons, guest lectures, capstone projects, and lab development programs. Coordinate with HR, Marketing, and BU teams to leverage academic partnerships for talent pipeline, brand building, and early customer development. Monitor and report on the health of institute partnerships, COE utilization, and student engagement metrics. The Essentials – You Will Have: High degree of business and commercial acumen required to understand the RA business model and ecosystem. Ability to achieve business goals by collaborating and aligning multiple stakeholders to a common objective. Must be a passionate self-starter with a bias for action and new partnership development. Skilled at creating trust-based relationships across diverse partner typologies – technology companies, consulting firms, and academic institutions. Holding self and others accountable for commitments and outcomes. Comfortable navigating ambiguity in early-stage partner and institute engagement. Bachelor’s degree in engineering mandatory. MBA preferred. At least 5 years of experience in industrial automation Experience in managing channel partners. Demonstrated ability to build and manage alliances, partnerships, or institutional engagement programs. The Preferred – You Might Also Have: Prior experience in direct selling is desirable. Experience or strong familiarity with consulting sales cycles is an advantage. Prior exposure to academia-industry engagement or education ecosystem programs is an added advantage. Excellent analytical skills; experience working in a matrix global organization.
