Job Overview
As a Store Manager at Salad Days, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality salads and other dishes. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency. In addition, you will handle store P&L and unit economics, provide leadership and motivation to the team, manage rosters, act as the SPOC for B2B, subscription, and advance orders, conduct internal audits, liaise with stakeholders, and lead daily store and review meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Gain comprehensive knowledge of Salad Days' menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Manage the store’s profit and loss statements and ensure the economic efficiency of the unit.
Provide leadership and motivation to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the store.
Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for B2B, subscription, and advance orders.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers and corporate clients, to maintain smooth operations.
Lead daily store meetings to review performance, address issues, and plan activities.
Conduct review meetings to assess performance, discuss feedback, and implement improvements.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary education is a plus but not required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment, including hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, inventory management, packaging, dispatching, training, and managing operations.
Advanced understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Understanding of profit and loss statements and unit economics.
Ability to liaise with external stakeholders and maintain professional relationships.
Eagerness to learn and develop advanced culinary and operational skills.
Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and ability to work under pressure.
