Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented
Store cum Accounts Executive
with
2+ years of experience
in the railway or EPC sector. The role involves handling store operations, inventory control, basic accounting activities, documentation, and coordination with site and finance teams. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing material movement as well as basic accounting and ERP entries.
Key Responsibilities
Stores & Inventory Management
Manage daily store operations for railway materials, consumables, and components.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per purchase orders and railway standards.
Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and stock registers.
Ensure timely issuance of materials to project/site teams.
Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate for material replenishment.
Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note), MIN (Material Issue Note), and maintain stock ledgers.
Assist in monthly/quarterly stock audits and reconciliation.
Accounts & Documentation
Support basic accounting tasks such as invoice verification, bill checking, and data entry.
Coordinate with the Finance team for vendor bill submission and payment follow-ups.
Maintain documentation related to purchase orders, GRNs, material returns, and vendor bills.
Prepare daily/weekly store and accounts reports as required.
Update ERP/Inventory Management System with stock movements, invoices, and transactions.
Key Requirements
Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
Minimum 2 years of experience
in stores and basic accounts functions, preferably in the railway/EPC sector.
Basic understanding of railway materials and consumables (preferred).
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or any inventory management software).
Strong documentation, coordination, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting entries.
Ability to work independently and support both stores and finance teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to railway project stores operations.
Experience in vendor invoice processing and purchase order documentation.
Certification in inventory management or accounting (preferred but not mandatory).
