We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Power Delivery Network (PDN) Engineer
to join our Automotive MCU Digital Design team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing on-chip and package-level power delivery networks for next-generation automotive microcontrollers (MCUs) and SoCs. The role involves close collaboration with digital design, physical design, package, signal integrity, and reliability teams to ensure robust power integrity and low-noise operation under stringent automotive reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize chip-level and package-level Power Delivery Networks (PDN) for automotive MCU/SoC products.
Perform IR drop, electromigration (EM), and dynamic voltage drop analysis across multiple power domains.
Collaborate with RTL, physical design, floorplanning, clock, and package teams for power-aware implementation.
Develop power grid architectures for high-performance and low-power automotive applications.
Analyse power integrity issues including:
Static and dynamic IR drop
Power noise
Simultaneous switching noise (SSN)
Decoupling capacitor optimization
Work with EDA tools for PDN signoff and validation.
Define power planning strategies including:
Power straps
Mesh structures
Via optimization
Multi-voltage domain implementation
Support low-power methodologies such as UPF implementation.
Ensure compliance with automotive quality and reliability standards.
Participate in silicon bring-up, failure analysis, and debugging related to power integrity issues.
Create automation scripts and flows for PDN analysis and optimization.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or related field.
8-10 years of experience in PDN/Power Integrity/Physical Design for semiconductor products.
