Define and execute the technical strategy for user data policy enforcement across the Search serving stack, while aligning with the evolving Artificial Intelligence landscape and Search’s architectural efforts.
Lead the design and implementation of generalized and feature-aware policy enforcement mechanisms for all Search features.
Develop and provide thought leadership for areas of internal security and privacy standards within Search.
Collaborate with executive Team Leads from multiple Search Trust teams and partner teams to ensure compliance.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team software engineers, including new graduates.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience in testing and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience with designing infrastructure systems for various applications and evaluating and selecting infrastructure components.
Experience in designing and implementing distributed architectures.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience with delivering results and making progress, with the ability to manage changing environments like AI policy and leverage AI-based methodologies in their solutions.
Experience in working with multiple stakeholder teams, with the ability to articulate and collaborate with multiple executive leads, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with data privacy, security, compliance or data management infrastructure.
Excellent technical leadership skills, and ability to mentor and grow other engineers.
