About this role

Define and lead the technical strategy, architecture, and road map for significant areas within Cloud Armor, Network Threat Intelligence, and NGFWE. Lead ideation and implementation of AI/ML features and capabilities to enhance threat detection, automate responses, and improve the efficacy of  network security products. Collaborate closely with other teams (both local and global) to deliver robust, scalable, and customer-focused security solutions. Provide technical guidance, review designs and code, and ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, security, reliability, and the ethical application of AI. Lead, mentor the technical talent in the team, fostering a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, collaboration. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products. Experience with network security, large scale distributed systems, cloud, and system architecture. Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. Experience in a technical leadership role, including experience managing software engineering teams. Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and network security principles (e.g., DDoS mitigation, WAF, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, threat intelligence).
