We are seeking experienced, passionate, and resourceful engineers to join our backend teams. As a backend engineer, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and contribute to the design and development of our backend services.</p> <p>This position will be hybrid from our Bengaluru office, as part of our expanding site, with 2+ days in the office. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet p-rich_text_list--nested" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Design and implement scalable, high-quality backend features and REST APIs</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Drive end-to-end execution of complex initiatives, from design to production</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Maintain and extend test automation to support CI/CD</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Mentor engineers and provide guidance through code and architecture reviews</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing)</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Debug and resolve production issues across services and infrastructure</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Continuously adopt and evaluate new technologies for business impact</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">7+ years in backend development, with experience in a tech lead role</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Proficient in C#, Kotlin,&nbsp;or Java</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Strong experience architecting and optimizing complex, data-driven systems</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Proven ability to lead technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive delivery</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Excellent communication skills across distributed teams</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Fintech/payments domain experience is a plus</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Experience building scalable, cross-functional payment systems is a plus</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) is a plus</li> </ul> <p>#LI-Hybrid</p> <div id="fortidlp-input-element-parent"></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>At EarnIn, we believe that the best way to build a financial system that works for everyday people is by hiring a team that represents our diverse community.
