Position Summary:
We are looking for a
Staff Engineer – Java
with strong expertise in architecting and developing high-scale, distributed backend systems. The role requires a blend of technical leadership and hands-on engineering. You will lead architecture decisions, drive engineering best practices, and build secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms.
This role demands strong problem-solving skills, the ability to mentor teams, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to building reliable and future-ready systems.
Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:
Own end-to-end architecture and technical design for distributed and high-scale backend services.
Define technical vision, engineering best practices, and coding standards.
Remain hands-on with prototyping, debugging, analysis, and complex problem resolution.
Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teams to align engineering goals with business needs.
Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and ensure system quality, performance, and maintainability.
Mentor engineers across levels, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance system performance and developer productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications

10+ years of experience
in backend engineering.
Strong expertise in
Java (11+)

Microservices Architecture

Hands-on experience with
AWS Cloud

Proven experience designing and scaling
high-volume, distributed systems

Good knowledge of additional programming languages like

payments domain

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
