Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Sr. WordPress Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our company websites on WordPress, utilizing the Avada responsive multi-purpose theme. Your expertise in managing multiple sites and instances (Production, User Acceptance Testing - UAT, Development - DEV) and configuring Continuous Deployment/Continuous Delivery (CD/CD) workflows will be vital in ensuring seamless website management and updates. Additionally, your in-depth knowledge of various WordPress plugins and tools will be crucial in enhancing our website functionalities and user experiences.
Responsibilities & Duties
Avada Expertise: Leverage your advanced proficiency in the Avada responsive multi-purpose theme to design, develop, and customize stunning websites that align with our brand and business objectives.
WordPress Development: Utilize your 2-4 years of experience in WordPress development to implement custom themes, plugins, and features that enhance website performance and user engagement.
Website Maintenance: Oversee the regular maintenance and updates of company websites on WordPress, ensuring they remain up-to-date, secure, and fully functional.
Multi-Site Management: Manage multiple WordPress sites efficiently, maintaining consistency and coherence across various web properties.
Instance Management: Work with different instances, including Production, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Development (DEV), to test and deploy website changes systematically.
CD/CD Configuration: Set up and configure Continuous Deployment/Continuous Delivery (CD/CD) workflows to streamline website updates and facilitate efficient collaboration among development and testing teams.
Plugin Integration: Integrate and configure various WordPress plugins and tools to extend website capabilities and meet specific project requirements.
Performance Optimization: Optimize website speed, loading times, and overall performance to deliver exceptional user experiences and improve search engine rankings.
Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly, providing reliable support to the team and end-users.
Security and Backup: Implement robust security measures and regular data backups to protect websites from potential threats and ensure data integrity.
Desired Skills & Experience
2-4 years of proven experience as a WordPress developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing Avada theme-based websites and other CMS projects.
Expert-level proficiency in the Avada responsive multi-purpose theme, demonstrating your ability to create visually appealing and responsive websites.
Solid experience working with multiple WordPress instances (Prod, UAT, DEV) and managing various sites concurrently.
Strong understanding of Continuous Deployment/Continuous Delivery (CD/CD) processes and configuration.
In-depth knowledge of various WordPress plugins and tools, with the ability to integrate and configure them effectively.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for theme and plugin customizations.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git for efficient collaboration and code management.
Experience in performance optimization techniques to ensure optimal website speed and user experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
