Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified
QA/QC Engineer (Civil + Mechanical)
with experience in utility-scale solar power projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil and mechanical works meet the required quality standards and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical QA/QC:
Oversee installation of module mounting structures (MMS), solar PV modules, trackers (if any), and related mechanical works.
Ensure torqueing, alignment, and structural stability of mechanical installations.
Conduct inspections for materials like GI/MS structures, fasteners, and hardware before installation.
Validate proper ramming or piling of foundations (if applicable).
Ensure proper grounding and mechanical support for PV modules and associated infrastructure.
General QA/QC:
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation: ITPs, checklists, NCRs, RFI logs, calibration records, test reports.
Perform internal audits and support external quality audits.
Raise and close NCRs/observations through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes (IS, IEC, ASTM, etc.).
Provide daily/weekly quality reports to management.
Train site teams on quality standards and practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
2–7 years of experience in QA/QC for solar EPC or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction standards, quality procedures, and documentation.
Experience with utility-scale (MW-scale) solar projects is highly preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
