At Krish, we are building next-generation AI-driven retail and eCommerce solutions for global clients. As a Retail AI Subject Matter Expert, you will act as the bridge between retail business knowledge and AI technology teams, helping us design and deliver intelligent solutions that solve real retail challenges.
You will work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, product teams, and other stakeholders to define AI use cases, validate model outputs, and ensure our AI-powered products align with modern retail operations.
This role is critical in shaping AI solutions for merchandising, pricing, supply chain optimization, personalization, and omnichannel commerce.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as the Retail Domain Expert for AI-based products and solutions developed at Krish
Identify and define high-impact AI use cases in offline and online retail
Translate retail business processes into AI models, workflows, and system requirements.
Collaborate with AI engineers, ML teams, and product managers to build AI-powered retail solutions.
Run internal/external UAT. Validate and evaluate AI model outputs to ensure business relevance and accuracy.
Develop retail data frameworks, taxonomies, and datasets for training AI systems.
Guide the development of AI solutions across areas of supply chain management, client experience, and pricing.
Participate in client discovery workshops to identify AI opportunities for retail businesses.
Be an active member in pre-sales and consulting engagements by advising clients on AI adoption in retail.
Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, Generative AI, and retail technology.
What We’d Love To See
15+ years of experience in Retail, eCommerce/Omni-channel operations
Deep domain knowledge/expertise in areas like:
Merchandising
Category management
Pricing & promotions
Supply chain & inventory management
Retail operations
Digital commerce
Experience working with various retail data, analytics, or retail technology systems
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, such as GMV, Sell-through rate, Inventory turns, Conversion rate, Customer lifetime value and Demand forecasting accuracy
Ability to collaborate with technical teams including AI engineers and data scientists
Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-driven retail automation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
It’d Be Great If You Had
Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, or data science projects in retail.
Experience with AI-powered retail use cases like recommendation engines or forecasting models.
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, Adobe Commerce, or similar.
Knowledge of data tools like SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based analytics.
Experience working with AI product teams or SaaS platforms.
