Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Spotfire Developer with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in building interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and analytics solutions using TIBCO Spotfire.
The ideal candidate should have strong skills in data modeling, scripting, wrangling, and working with large datasets, along with the ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy Spotfire dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
Build and optimize data models, information links, transformations, and workflows.
Create advanced Spotfire features including IronPython scripts, TERR/R scripting, calculated columns, custom expressions, and data functions.
Work with multiple data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, cloud data, APIs, and big data platforms.
Perform data wrangling, cleansing, blending, and transformation within Spotfire.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into scalable BI solutions.
Optimize dashboard performance, caching, filtering logic, and load times.
Implement row-level security, access controls, and admin-level configurations as required.
Work with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Product, Operations, and IT for end-to-end delivery.
Troubleshoot issues related to reports, data connections, and performance.
Prepare technical documentation for dashboards, workflows, and scripts.
Required Skills & Experience
4–6 years of experience in Spotfire design, development, and administration.
Strong knowledge of:
Spotfire Analyst & Web Player
Information Designer & Data Canvas
IronPython scripting
TERR/R functions
Custom expressions, calculated fields
Experience:
Hands-on experience with SQL (must) for querying, optimization, stored procedures, and joins.
Experience working with large datasets, ETL workflows, or data pipelines.
Understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard usability principles.
Experience integrating Spotfire with external data sources, REST APIs, or automation services.
Good understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
