Title and Summary Software Engineer II Software Engineer -II, Software Engineering - Decision Management Program Overview • The Decision Management program enables intelligent decision based products through streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility. • This program leverages business rules & AI engines, a streaming big data cluster, an in memory data grids, APIs, & UIs to deliver real time decisions at global scale • This person will be responsible for mentoring the team as well as stay hands on. We are looking for a Software Engineer -II to join our DMP team in the Pune office. • Are you an experienced software professional who is passionate about innovative technology and its potential to help create a world beyond cash? • Can you plan test strategy and acceptance criteria keeping end customer needs – functional, non-functional, and user experience - in mind? • Love being hands on and can write code to break software as part of ensuring highest software quality and stability? • Do you have a motivation to drive quality automation and self-service culture as a part of software delivery practices? • Can you scale your communication at all levels starting from engineers to program managers to product managers? Role • Play a crucial part in helping drive Quality to help build and ship better products. • Collaborate with our development teams to enhance our existing software development processes. • Drive Quality Engineering methodologies and help build high quality software. • Partner with developers to improve and automate test and release processes • Help make Quality as an integral part of the development process • Design and implement application logic in Java. • Manage your own time while collaborating with teammates to accomplish project goals • Create documentation such as high level or low level design and detailed design. • Participate in all the scrum ceremonies. • Apply best development practices to write well designed, maintainable, testable, scalable, and secure code. • Write enough unit test to test and verify that features work correctly. Essential Knowledge/Experience • Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of Java. • Excellent knowledge of Spring and other frameworks. • Good knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks like junit, mockito or easymock. • Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with Oracle. • Experience working with high performance applications. • Good problem diagnostic and creative problem solving skills. • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks within the constraints and timelines determined by business needs. • Experience mentoring a team. Desirable Skills: • Experience with IBM ILOG/ODM and Pivotal Gemfire Grid. • Experience with Dockers, Kubernetes etc. • Experience with Angular. • BS in computer science or a related field preferred.
