Position Title
Software Engineer
Role Summary/Purpose
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing technology solutions in the Wabtec Transportation. As part of this role the Software Engineer would be working closely with the Functional and Technical leads across various applications, COE and Infrastructure teams to deliver right business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
Software design, development, and maintenance of applications
Primary Skills :
Development using Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Spring boot, Microservices, Restful Webservices, PL/SQL
Well verse with Junit implementation
Developing and executing unit / integration test cases and performing white box testing
Understanding of best coding practices, adhere to all the software architectural and Security standards
Assist, guide and troubleshoot with the Support team to resolve customer issues of technical nature
Work with teams through Agile development practices
Participate with Functional discussions to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meets the needs
Participate in release coordination and communication to stakeholders
Nice to have skills :
UI related technologies like Angular, AngularJS, HTML 5, java script, JQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, Node JS.
Experience on Cloud, AWS is added advantage.
Qualifications/Requirements
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science
4- 6 years
of Software Development experience.
Good academic record with contribution on extracurricular activities
Knowledge & academic project development in any one Object oriented programming language with good understanding of OOPS concepts
Knowledge of Web technologies, latest front end technologies like Angular JS, HTML 5.0, JQuery, java scripts, CSS, Bootstrap, Node JS

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
High energy, Customer Passion & attention to details
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability
Ability to explore open source libraries, eager to learn new technologies.
