<h3><strong>YOUR IMPACT</strong></h3>
<p>We are looking for a <strong>Software Engineer, Platform & Integrations</strong> to join our JSCAPE engineering team. In this role, you will be a key driver in building and scaling the next generation of our Managed File Transfer (MFT) SaaS product. You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex features, optimize backend performance, and collaborate on architectural decisions that impact more than 1,000 enterprise customers worldwide.</p>
<p>This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer who thrives on technical autonomy, enjoys tackling complex cloud-native challenges, and wants to have a direct impact on product direction.</p>
<p>As a Software Engineer on the MFT SaaS team, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Feature Ownership & Architecture:</strong> Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly observable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.</li>
<li><strong>Platform Evolution:</strong> Actively contribute to upgrading our core platform infrastructure, focusing on system resilience, performance tuning, and seamless component communication.</li>
<li><strong>Security & Compliance:</strong> Implement rigorous secure coding practices to safeguard data exchange and ensure compliance across our multi-tenant SaaS environment.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborative Execution:</strong> Work closely with Product, QA, and senior leadership to scope technical requirements, break down complex tasks, and ensure predictable sprint delivery.</li>
<li><strong>Mentorship & Quality:</strong> Champion engineering excellence by writing comprehensive automated tests, conducting thoughtful code reviews, and mentoring junior team members.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>YOUR EXPERIENCE</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li><strong>Product Experience:</strong> 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in a product-driven environment building SaaS applications.</li>
<li><strong>Core Tech Stack:</strong> Strong proficiency in <strong>Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development</strong>, with a deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, and microservices architecture.</li>
<li><strong>Database Systems:</strong> Extensive experience with relational database management and schema design using <strong>PostgreSQL or MySQL</strong>, including complex SQL query optimization.</li>
<li><strong>Cloud & Containers:</strong> Practical experience with AWS (or another major cloud provider) and container orchestration using <strong>Docker and Kubernetes/EKS</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>DevOps Mindset:</strong> Good understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.</li>
<li><strong>Protocols & Security:</strong> Solid understanding of enterprise network/file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP, HTTPS, AS2) and secure communication standards (SSL/TLS, encryption).</li>
<li><strong>Engineering Rigor:</strong> Deep experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and a strong commitment to clean, maintainable code.</li>
<li><strong>Soft Skills:</strong> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>Agile Mindset:</strong> Experience working effectively within Agile/Scrum development environments.</li>
</ul>
