About this role

About the role: We are looking for a highly creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to take our digital presence to the next level. In this role, you will work closely with the Communication, Art and all revenue teams to create a solid social media calendar. You will be the one balancing out business and story telling requirements on our social channels while knowing that each platform needs a different approach. You will craft compelling campaigns, manage day-to-day platform operations, and translate our mission of Ugaoo becoming the most loved gardening brand in India! What you'll be doing Develop and Execute Strategy: Design and implement a robust social media strategy across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn to align with overall business goals and brand love. Content Creation & Curation: Ideate, write, and oversee the production of high-quality, visually appealing content (Reels, Carousels, Stories, and videos) tailored to the plant care and home decor niche. You are happy to appear on camera, shoot, edit and handle everything yourself, OR you can delegate these tasks to the respective teams. Community Building: Actively engage with our audience by responding to comments, troubleshooting basic plant care questions, and fostering a loyal, passionate community of plant parents. Not literally ORM, but engaging with the gardening community as UGAOO. Campaign Management: Lead the social rollout for new product launches, seasonal gardening campaigns, and promotional events. Trend Spotting: Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm updates, and viral audio to ensure the brand remains culturally relevant and innovative. Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (follower growth, engagement rate, click-throughs, and conversions), analyze the data, and optimize future strategies based on insights. You have 3-4+ years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the D2C, lifestyle, or home decor sectors. In-depth knowledge of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest algorithms, best practices, and analytics tools. Exceptional copywriting skills with a knack for brand storytelling. A keen eye for aesthetics, photography, and short-form video editing. Strong ability to interpret social metrics and translate them into actionable business recommendations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt quickly to shifting trends. A genuine interest in indoor plants, gardening, and sustainable living is a massive advantage.
