Services Support Associate I, US Payroll

Work you'll do
As a Services Support Associate I, Payroll on the Payroll and Personnel Solutions team, you will be responsible for:
Resolving payroll inquiries from employees and Human Resources and supporting basic payroll transactions across firm applications
Coordinating employee benefits administration for eligible employees across multiple U.S. states
Processing employee life cycle changes, including payroll and personnel data updates
Supporting payroll activities related to separations, salary continuations, transfers, withholding tax compliance, direct deposits, salary changes, sign-on bonuses, employee loans, and reimbursements
Computing leave payouts for employees on leave of absence and completing scheduled activities within defined deadlines
Supporting visa reverification, wage claims, Form W-2C processing, Form 221 processing, and compliance with personally identifiable information requirements
The team
This position is a part of Deloitte Support Services India Pvt Ltd, within the Financial Services Group – Payroll and Personnel Solutions service line. For the U.S. paying activities, the team is a key contributor and helps paying over 70,000 Deloitte U.S. professionals correctly each biweekly.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree; Finance preferred
0-2 years of experience in payroll operations, Human Resources operations, finance operations, or shared services support
Basic to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with SAP Human Resources systems and/or accounting packages
Experience supporting payroll processing, payroll analysis, or management reporting
Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute with data entry capability of 4,000 keystrokes per hour and 5% or fewer errors
Experience handling confidential employee or payroll data and supporting data privacy requirements
Preferred:
Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration
Experience supporting U.S. payroll operations
Experience with employee life cycle transactions, benefits coordination, or leave payout processing
Experience processing wage claims, visa reverification tasks, Form W-2C, or Form 221 items
