Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven SEO Specialist with a proven track record of growing organic traffic for clients in the
United States and Canada
. You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities, from content strategy and keyword research to technical audits and link-building campaigns.
The ideal candidate understands the nuances of North American search behavior and knows how to compete in high-difficulty niches.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
Create and execute data-driven SEO roadmaps specifically tailored to US/Canada localized search trends.
Technical SEO:
Conduct deep-dive audits (Crawlability, Indexing, Site Architecture) and work with developers to implement fixes.
On-Page Optimization:
Optimize headers, meta-data, and internal linking structures while ensuring content meets
E-E-A-T
(Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) standards.
Keyword Intelligence:
Perform advanced keyword research focusing on high-intent "buyer" keywords and long-tail opportunities relevant to North American consumers.
Link Building & Outreach:
Execute white-hat backlink strategies, including guest posting, PR outreach, and unlinked brand mention recovery.
Local SEO:
Manage Google Business Profiles (GBP) and local citations to dominate "near me" searches in specific US/Canadian cities.
Reporting:
Provide monthly performance reports using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Search Console, focusing on ROI and conversion tracking.
Technical Requirements
Industry Tools:
Expert-level proficiency in
Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Screaming Frog
.
Analytics:
Advanced knowledge of
GA4
and
Google Search Console
(GSC).
Content Strategy:
Ability to create detailed content briefs for writers that align with search intent.
CMS Familiarity:
Experience working within
WordPress
(Yoast/RankMath) and Shopify environments.
AI Integration:
Proficiency in using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to assist in keyword grouping and content outlines without sacrificing quality.
Specific Requirements for US/Canada Markets
Language & Nuance:
Perfect command of American/Canadian English, including an understanding of local spelling, idioms, and cultural references.
Market Experience:
Minimum of 2 years specifically managing campaigns for businesses located in or targeting North America.
Compliance:
Knowledge of regional privacy laws (like CCPA or PIPEDA) as they relate to web tracking is a plus.
