About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager with
7+ years of agency experience
to lead and scale our SEO function across multiple client accounts. This role focuses on strategic leadership, team management, client consulting, and operational excellence rather than day-to-day execution.
The SEO Manager will
oversee Team Leads and SEO Analysts,
ensure consistent delivery standards, define long-term organic growth strategies, and align SEO performance with broader marketing and business objectives. The role requires strong leadership capability, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate SEO performance into measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the overall SEO department,
providing strategic direction, performance oversight, and operational guidance across all active client projects.
Manage and mentor SEO Team Leads, ensuring effective delegation, delivery ownership, and continuous skill development within teams.
Define and drive organization-wide SEO strategy frameworks aligned with client acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth objectives.
Oversee new client onboarding from an SEO strategy perspective, including audits, opportunity identification, roadmap validation, and expectation setting.
Ensure consistent execution standards across accounts by establishing SEO processes, SOPs, quality benchmarks, and delivery frameworks.
Monitor portfolio-level SEO performance and guide teams in adapting strategies based on algorithm updates, competitive movements, and market trends.
Work closely with Content, Paid Media, Analytics, Development, and Design teams to ensure SEO integration within broader marketing strategies.
Drive resource planning, workload distribution, and capacity management across SEO teams to ensure scalable delivery.
Identify automation opportunities and encourage adoption of AI-driven SEO workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
Act as the escalation point for complex SEO challenges, delivery risks, and client performance concerns.
Qualifications:
Minimum
7+ years
of proven SEO experience with
mandatory agency background
and experience managing multiple client portfolios.
Demonstrated
experience leading SEO teams in an agency environment.
Proven ability to connect SEO performance with business outcomes including lead generation, customer acquisition, and revenue contribution.
Strong strategic understanding of Technical SEO, Content SEO, Local SEO, and enterprise-scale organic growth frameworks.
Strong operational mindset with experience building scalable processes, workflows, and delivery standards.
Proficiency in
Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager,
Ahrefs / SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SpyFu, and similar enterprise SEO tools.
Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, indexing systems, Core Web Vitals, and evolving AI-led search environments.
Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
