Job Summary:
We are hiring a
Sr. Maintainer
for Platform Screen Door (PSD) systems to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities for the
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL)
project. The role involves hands-on work in the installation, testing & commissioning, and routine maintenance of PSD equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Electrical or Electronics trade with practical field experience in metro/rail infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, testing & commissioning, and maintenance of PSD systems at metro stations.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of PSD-related components and control systems.
Assist in fault rectification, system adjustments, and replacement of faulty modules under the guidance of supervisors.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, fault history, and spare parts usage.
Follow safety standards and site procedures during all technical activities.
Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely task execution.
Support emergency maintenance or night shifts as per operational requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification:
3-Year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
or
2-Year ITI in Electrical / Electronics or equivalent recognized trade
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in installation, testing & commissioning, or maintenance of Platform Screen Door (PSD) systems or similar electronics systems in infrastructure/rail projects
