The impact you'll have: As a software engineer with a backend focus, you will work with your team to build infrastructure and products for the SignalLabs.ai platform at scale. Our backend teams span the architectural pillars that power signal intelligence end-to- end: Data Discovery, where we crawl, profile, and onboard heterogeneous data sources into the platform; the Semantic Module, where raw entities and events are resolved into a unified, meaning-rich representation; the Signal Detection and Correlation Engine, where signals are scored, joined, and elevated into high- confidence signals across time and context; the System of Attention, where the most consequential signals are routed, ranked, and surfaced to the right decision-Job Description: Senior Staff Engineer1 maker at the right moment; and the Reinforcement Learning Feedback Loop, where every human and machine response is captured to continuously sharpen detection, correlation, and prioritization. You'll own meaningful surface area in one of these domains while shaping how they compose into a single, coherent platform. Responsibilities Drive hands-on architecture and development for critical platform features and infrastructure, setting high standards for code quality, maintainability, and operational excellence. Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the engineering team, fostering best practices, conducting code reviews, and guiding junior engineers in complex problem-solving. Identify and resolve complex technical challenges within the SignalOS platform, optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive analysis and innovative solutions. Develop infrastructure for evaluating and improving system performance, including quality, reliability, and cost, and build monitoring and observability systems to understand behavior in production. Minimum Qualifications Strong expertise and 8+ years experience in full-stack hands-on development of Python, Java based application development. Hands-on experience in designing and architecting large projects including performance, scalability, robustness, and resiliency, including providing and consuming services using RESTful APIs. Experience with micro-services architectures and container-based deployment (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Experience in frameworks like ReactJS, and Angular for building dynamic and interactive web interfaces.Job Description: Senior Staff Engineer2 Proven ability to design end-to-end systems, making architectural decisions across multiple components (e.g., services, data pipelines, integrations). Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated track record of building and shipping secure and scalable distributed systems, with visible portfolio (e.g., apps, open-source projects), or recognized contributions such as publications in top-tier conferences or impactful technical work. Strong system design experience, including defining and evolving architecture for complex, multi-component systems. Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, and networking protocols. Experience in a technical partner-facing role, managing relationships and guiding external teams through complex technical integrations. A natural storyteller who can convey technical vision and challenges in an engaging and persuasive manner. Experience taking products from concept to launch, including delivering user- facing applications at scale or in real-world environments. Results-oriented and demonstrates the high degree of ownership and accountability. Communicate quickly and effectively; vertically and horizontally throughout the organization. Possess excellent problem-solving & analytical skills. What we look for: * BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field * 5+ years of production level experience in one of: Python, Java or similar language * Experience developing large-scale distributed systems * Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes * Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data
