Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Specialist Engineer (6+ years) who can independently own and deliver complex features, design scalable systems, and act as a technical pillar for the team. This role is for someone who: Thinks in systems, not just tickets Delivers with speed + quality + ownership Uses AI and automation as force multipliers Can lead without authority and raise the bar for the team Key Responsibilities Ownership & Execution Own features end-to-end: from design → development → deployment → monitoring Take responsibility for delivery timelines and outcomes, not just effort Make tough trade-offs between speed, scalability, and maintainability Operate independently with minimal supervision System Design & Architecture Design scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient systems Work across services including Node.js, Golang microservices, and serverless architectures Ensure strong data design across Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL Drive architectural decisions and improve existing systems AI & Automation-Driven Development Use AI tools (Copilot, GPT, internal tooling) in day-to-day development Build internal automations to improve developer productivity and reduce manual work Optimize workflows across development, testing, and deployment Continuously find ways to do more with less effort using AI Technical Leadership Act as a mentor and technical guide for other engineers Set high standards for code quality, design, and execution Lead by example through strong ownership and output Influence decisions without relying on hierarchy Operational Excellence Ensure services are production-ready, observable, and reliable Participate in debugging, incident resolution, and performance optimization Work closely with DevOps and product teams to ensure smooth releases Tech Stack Backend: Node.js, Golang (microservices) Frontend: Angular, Next.js Cloud & Infra: Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions Databases: Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL Others: APIs, event-driven systems, distributed architectures Requirements 6+ years of experience in backend/fullstack development Strong expertise in Node.js and experience with Golang or similar languages Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and APIs Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) Proven ability to independently deliver complex systems/features Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability Must-Have Mindset High ownership: treats problems as their own, not “assigned work” Output-driven: focuses on impact, not hours worked Pragmatic: balances perfection with speed Curious & experimental: actively explores AI and new tools Builder mindset: prefers creating solutions over managing processes Good to Have Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems Prior startup experience or working in fast-paced environments Experience building internal tools or developer productivity systems Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices What Success Looks Like Features are delivered faster without compromising quality Systems are scalable, reliable, and easy to extend Reduced engineering friction through automation and better design Other engineers level up by working with this person Why Join Us High ownership and real impact Work on meaningful, scalable systems Opportunity to shape engineering culture and practices Build with modern stack + AI-first approach
