This is an opportunity to join an industry leading Digital Power IC development team with Renesas Electronics leading Infrastructure power management product line. As part of one of Renesas’s most prominent Power Management Groups, you will develop Software to support leading datacenter operators and infrastructure hardware developers as they deploy our digital power control devices.
What we need:
The software team is seeking a Senior SW Engineer who is technically savvy and is excited about working within a SoC development team to produce customer facing software to enable our customers. This position involves a wide range of challenges from interfacing with IC and firmware designers to working with marketing to present the IC products in intuitive ways. As part of one of Renesas’s fastest growing product lines, you will have the opportunity to directly impact customer experience through work on software products that enable feature rich hardware to shine. What You’ll do:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software that meets the needs of both customers and internal teams
Gather and drive clarity on software requirements from diverse groups including customers, application engineers, hardware, and firmware engineers
Contribute to both existing and new projects, covering a broad range of languages and scope. We use Python and Pyside(QT.
Aid in code reviews for fellow team members, as required
Skills You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
5-7 years’ experience in software development required
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent coding skills using Python
Good understanding and coding skills in UI development
Executes creative software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Strong understanding of Software Architecture and Design principles, Behavior-Driven Development and unit testing approaches
Experience with basic electronics, microcontroller programming and bus communications strongly preferred
Experience in DevOps including JIRA, Confluence and GitLab preferred
Must have highly developed written and verbal cross-functional communication skills
