SUMMARY
Q2 is seeking an ambitious and adaptable
Senior Software Engineer
experienced in team-based development. As part of the Engineering Development group, you will work individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support custom solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects involving components at every level of the Q2 platform. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, enjoy tinkering, and are comfortable learning rapidly while engineering solutions using a mix of open technologies and proprietary frameworks.
RESPONSBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and internal developer platforms
Contribute to application development using modern frameworks (preferably
.NET and Python
)
Administer and optimize
Snowflake
(user management, deployments, cost optimization, performance tuning)
Work with tools such as
Airflow, DBT, and Apache Spark
to support large-scale data workflows
Develop and support database solutions (MS SQL, Azure SQL)
Design and manage cloud infrastructure in
Microsoft Azure
(including Azure SQL)
Build and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
and automate software delivery processes
Participate in on-call rotations and support critical production systems
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in
software engineering, data engineering, or DevOps
Strong programming skills in
Python and SQL (MS SQL Server)
Experience with
.NET
or similar backend technologies
Hands-on experience with
Snowflake
(administration, deployment, optimization)
Experience with
MS SQL and Azure SQL database development
Proficiency with
Microsoft Azure
(ARM, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with
Airflow, DBT, Spark
, or similar tools
Experience with
Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
