<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an L4 Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable enterprise applications using Java, relations databases, and cloud services. This role is a senior individual contributor position with end-to-end ownership of critical services, including architecture, development, security, and production readiness.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate brings strong backend and cloud experience, a solid understanding of full-stack integration, and deep expertise in identity, federation, and Single Sign-On (SSO) using OAuth2/OpenID Connect and Azure AD B2C. You will collaborate closely with platform, security, and product teams to deliver secure, high-quality systems at enterprise scale.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Architecture & Software Development</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Security).</li>
<li>Lead technical design efforts, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.</li>
<li>Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs for internal and external consumers.</li>
<li>Design, implement, and optimize relational database data models, queries, and transactions.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Develop cloud-native solutions using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway.</li>
<li>Partner with DevOps and platform teams to support CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated deployments.</li>
<li>Design systems with a focus on performance, scalability, availability, observability, and cost efficiency.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Identity, Security, Federation & SSO</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement OAuth2 and OpenID Connect authentication and authorization flows.</li>
<li>Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and federated identity solutions.</li>
<li>Integrate enterprise and external identity providers, managing token flows, claims, scopes, and role-based access.</li>
<li>Apply secure coding practices, data protection standards, and cloud security best practices across all layers.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Quality, Reliability & Operations</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drive testing strategies including unit, integration, and security testing.</li>
<li>Ensure production readiness through proper monitoring, logging, and alerting.</li>
<li>Participate in production support, incident triage, and root-cause analysis to maintain system reliability.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Collaboration & Technical Leadership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.</li>
<li>Communicate technical designs, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li>Contribute to agile ceremonies, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical standards.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of professional software engineering experience.</li>
<li>Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.</li>
<li>Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.</li>
<li>Proven experience designing and securing RESTful APIs.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and secure API design.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Preferable Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Direct experience implementing Federation and SSO using an identity provider such as Azure AD B2C.</li>
<li>Experience integrating multiple identity providers.</li>
<li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.</li>
