We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director of Sales - Weddings to lead our sales operations in Udaipur, India. Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies that explore market opportunities, analyze industry trends, and drive sustainable business growth and expansion in the wedding segment
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team by providing coaching on negotiation, communication, and closing techniques to enhance productivity and achieve sales targets
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners; prepare detailed market segment action plans and handle wedding inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Manage and review sales contracts, proposals, and agreements; ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
Analyze market data and competitor activity to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in service offerings
Set, monitor, and achieve revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs); prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management
Oversee budget management and P&L responsibility for the wedding sales division; allocate resources efficiently to maximize return on investment
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of wedding events and client satisfaction
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide transparent feedback to team members; foster a supportive and inclusive work environment
Stay current with wedding industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
**Required Skills & Experience:**
Minimum 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the hospitality, events, or wedding industry
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth
Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, recruitment, training, and performance management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in data analysis and sales forecasting
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales management tools
Knowledge of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) and wedding industry operations
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
Experience with wedding-specific sales platforms and event management software
Familiarity with Udaipur's wedding market and local industry landscape
Certification in sales management or leadership development
Experience in luxury or high-end event planning and execution
