About the role:
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in the software development lifecycle, ensuring that product quality meets business and customer expectations. You will design, implement, and execute testing processes, helping to build a reliable and high-quality software product.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, and Pytest.
Lead the automation of functional, regression, and performance test cases to improve efficiency.
Mentor junior QA team members on best practices, troubleshooting, and automation strategies.
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct root-cause analysis on critical defects and drive initiatives to improve testing coverage.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging automation technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in QA with expertise in test automation.
Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, TestNG, Pytest, and JUnit.
Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor others
What your first 30-60-90 days will look like:
In your first 30 days, you will:
Gain a deep understanding of the company’s mission, tech stack, and product landscape.
Meet with cross-functional teams to familiarize yourself with workflows, goals, and challenges.
Understand the application, identify issues, and contribute by testing, reporting defects, and supporting minor improvements.
Contribute to minor fixes or enhancements to get hands-on experience with the platform.
In your next 30 days you will:
Take ownership of a feature or module by planning, executing tests, and ensuring quality throughout the release.
Propose and implement optimizations or improvements in the current system.
Actively participate in planning sessions, offering insights and recommendations.
Establish yourself as a go-to problem solver and collaborator within the team.
