Experience:
Senior level preferred
(implicitly 5+ years)
Automation exposure is good, but the focus is on
domain depth over scripting ability
Must-Have Skills:
Endpoint application
knowledge — the product being tested is an endpoint client
Networking fundamentals
— TCP/IP, DNS, network protocols (domain knowledge is critical)
Linux
— primary OS focus, as they are newly developing their client on Linux (Windows and Mac are already supported)
Good awareness of what to test from a
Linux system standpoint
Nice-to-Have:
Windows and Mac experience (secondary to Linux)
Python automation scripting
— some existing scripts in place; junior team members can handle modifications, so this is not the core expectation
