ShopSe is one of India’s fastest-growing affordability platforms — powering EMI at the point of sale across multiple consumer categories. We help millions of Indians say “yes” to what they need, when they need it — by making large purchases easy, instant and accessible. The user experience is the heart of the platform — every conversion, every repeat use, every moment of trust runs through it.
We are looking for
product leaders
who operate with rigour, ship with discipline, and hold themselves accountable to measurable outcomes.
Position Overview
•Own the User side of the ShopSe platform end-to-end — EMI funnel conversion, repeat user growth, and drop-off identification and resolution.
•Senior IC role with full ownership of measurable outcomes and clear accountability for results.
•Reports directly to the Director of Product. Works closely with cross-functional teams — tech, design, marketing, risk and credit.
•Drives sprint-on-sprint improvements in EMI funnel conversion and month-on-month growth in the repeat user base. No drop-off point goes un-addressed for more than 2 sprints.
In this role, you have the opportunity to …
•Own the conversion engine of one of India’s fastest-scaling fintechs.
•Define the EMI funnel and repeat user strategy from the ground up.
•Build the user experience that powers ShopSe’s next phase of category expansion.
•Work directly with leadership on FY27 planning and shape the user product roadmap.
Responsibilities will include …
Functional Expertise
•EMI Funnel Conversion: — Own the end-to-end EMI funnel conversion rate. Drive sprint-on-sprint improvements through experimentation, UX optimisation and friction removal.
•Repeat Users: — Grow the repeat user base month-on-month. Build the product hooks, nudges and experiences that bring users back for their 2nd, 3rd and nth EMI.
•Drop-off Identification & Fixing: — Run a sprint-level cycle to identify drop-off points across the user journey. Prioritise, ship, and resolve. No user stuck at the same funnel step for more than 2 sprint cycles without a fix.
•User Journey Optimisation: — Continuously refine the EMI experience — from intent to disbursal to repayment. Reduce TAT, increase trust, raise NPS.
AI as a First-Class Lever
•Bring an AI-first approach to product and operations — use AI to write BRDs and PRDs, accelerate research and competitive analysis, personalise user experiences at scale, and identify product opportunities where AI meaningfully moves the funnel.
Interaction
•Cross-Functional Coordination: — Tech, design, marketing, risk, credit. Weekly tech syncs, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning.
•User Research & Empathy: — Spend time with users. Run interviews, sit in on customer support calls, build real intuition for first-time and repeat borrowers across India.
Problem Solving
•Funnel & Cohort Analytics: — Read funnels, run cohort analyses, and own the dashboards that drive your KRAs. Separate real product gaps from acquisition noise.
•Experimentation: — Design and run A/B tests at velocity. Build a culture of evidence over opinion across the user product team.
•Strategic Vision: — Translate FY26–27 ambition into a sequenced roadmap. Defend it with data when priorities collide.
Qualification & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
•
5–8 years in product management
, with 3+ years owning consumer-facing or user-side product surfaces.
•Direct
experience in fintech, EMI, lending, payments or consumer apps
strongly preferred.
•Proven track record of moving conversion, repeat usage or retention metrics — with numbers.
•Strong grounding in user research, experimentation and funnel optimisation.
•Familiarity with India’s fintech rails —
UPI, EMI on UPI, Credit Line on UPI, Account Aggregator framework, NBFC regulatory context
— is a strong plus.
•Hands-on fluency with AI tools in daily product work — LLM assistants for spec writing, prompt design for research and analysis, and a clear point of view on where AI fits in a fintech stack.
•Excellent written and verbal communication. Crisp PRDs. Can defend a roadmap without slides.
