About the Role
We are looking for a Product
Manager - Data Platform & Governance to lead the vision, strategy, and
execution for data quality, data flow, governance, and platform enablement
across our fintech ecosystem.
As a fast-growing instant
personal loan platform serving young professionals, data is central to
everything we do - from onboarding and underwriting to collections, compliance,
and customer engagement. In this role, you will work at the intersection of
product, engineering, analytics, compliance, and business teams to build
scalable, trusted, and governance-first data platforms.
You will play a key role in
ensuring our data systems are reliable, secure, compliant, and optimized for
operational and business decision-making at scale.
What You’ll Do
Data Quality & Reliability
·
Define and own data quality standards including
accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness
·
Build capabilities for validation, anomaly
detection, reconciliation, and automated sanity checks
·
Drive root-cause analysis for data issues and
ensure long-term systemic fixes
·
Partner with engineering teams to implement
monitoring, alerting, and data quality dashboards
Data Platform & Flow Management
·
Own and maintain data dictionaries and data
contracts across systems
·
Continuously improve end-to-end data flow
architecture across onboarding, underwriting, collections, CRM, finance, and
third-party systems
·
Define product requirements for pipelines, event
tracking, lineage, and observability
·
Ensure data systems are scalable,
fault-tolerant, real-time, and cost-efficient
Data Usage & Enablement
·
Build frameworks to monitor and optimize data
usage across teams
·
Enable self-serve analytics through curated
datasets, data marts, and standardized data products
·
Drive adoption of trusted and certified datasets
across operational and business teams
Governance, Privacy & Compliance
·
Define and implement governance capabilities
including consent management, masking, access controls, and audit trails
·
Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, DPDP Act
requirements, and internal security standards
·
Partner with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams
to operationalize governance policies into platform features
Product Strategy & Stakeholder Management
·
Own the Data Platform roadmap aligned with
company goals and OKRs
·
Translate business and regulatory requirements
into clear product requirements and PRDs
·
Track and report platform reliability, data
quality SLAs, and business impact metrics
·
Act as a bridge between Engineering, Data, Risk,
Operations, and Business teams
What We’re Looking For
Product & Platform Expertise
·
5+ years of Product Management experience,
preferably in fintech, data platforms, or large-scale systems
·
Strong understanding of data platforms,
distributed systems, APIs, and system design
·
Experience working with data warehouses, lakes,
and modern analytics ecosystems
Technical Understanding
·
Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and
cloud-native architectures
·
Understanding of batch and streaming data
pipelines, event-driven systems, and observability frameworks
·
Familiarity with scalability, reliability,
performance optimization, and cost-efficient platform design
·
Ability to review technical designs and
challenge assumptions related to scalability, security, and reliability
Data Governance & Security
·
Strong understanding of data governance,
privacy, access control, encryption, audit trails, and PII protection
·
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory
requirements in financial systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
·
Proven experience working closely with
Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Risk, Operations, and Business teams
·
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and
stakeholder management skills
·
Ability to translate technical capabilities into
business-friendly data products
Nice to Have
·
Experience in fintech, lending, or NBFC
ecosystems
·
Exposure to data governance frameworks and
privacy regulations
·
Hands-on scripting or Python knowledge for quick
data analysis
·
Familiarity with open-source data technologies
and observability stacks
