Manager – Collections

Senior Director – Product Management
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Product Manager with 4+ years of experience
in fintech or digital lending, with a strong focus on
collections and
recovery workflows
. You will own and drive the product roadmap for
collections capabilities, helping financial institutions optimize recovery
rates, streamline operations, and enhance borrower engagement.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of
collections
lifecycle, delinquency management, and recovery strategies
, along with the
ability to work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and
data-driven solutions. Experience with
LOS/LMS platforms is a plus
.
Key Responsibilities:
Define
and drive the product vision, roadmap, and execution for collections and
recovery solutions
Own
end-to-end collections lifecycle capabilities including
delinquency
management, DPD segmentation, recovery workflows, and payment tracking
Work
closely with stakeholders to design and optimize
collections
strategies, automation workflows, and customer communication journeys
Collaborate
with engineering teams to deliver scalable features using Agile
methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality releases
Build
and enhance
rule engines, prioritization logic, and automated
decisioning systems
for collections efficiency
Design
omnichannel engagement strategies (calls, SMS, email, field collections)
to improve recovery outcomes
Partner
with risk, operations, compliance, and analytics teams to align product
features with business and regulatory requirements
Own
backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release cycles to ensure consistent
product delivery
Define
and track KPIs such as
collection efficiency, recovery rates, roll
rates, and customer engagement metrics
Leverage
data insights to continuously improve product performance and user
experience
Work
closely with customers to gather feedback and translate it into actionable
product enhancements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
4+
years of experience in
product management within fintech, lending, or
financial services SaaS
Strong
understanding of
collections domain
, including delinquency buckets,
recovery strategies, and collections operations
Experience
working with
collections platforms, recovery tools, or payment systems
Ability
to translate business requirements into clear
user stories, workflows,
and product features
Hands-on
experience working with
engineering teams in Agile environments
Strong
analytical mindset with experience in defining and tracking
collections-related
KPIs
Excellent
stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong
communication and problem-solving abilities
Good to Have:
Experience
with
Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
and/or
Loan Management
Systems (LMS)
Exposure
to
AI/ML-driven collections strategies
, decision engines, or
automation tools
Understanding
