The Opportunity
Adobe Firefly connects creative workflows across our products to a growing set of third-party AI model providers—and the platform that makes that possible needs to be fast, reliable, and built to scale. This Senior Product Manager role owns that platform: the integration layer that routes requests to partner models, enforces access controls and credit metering, manages provider capacity, and ensures every surface team that builds on top of it can do so confidently.
This is a deeply technical product role. You will define integration standards, collaborate with external model providers on throughput and capacity, own platform reliability and operational health, and set the technical requirements that determine whether a new partner model can be integrated at all. You will work closely with the Partner Model Strategy PM on capacity planning and metering policy, and partner with engineering teams on the standards and architecture that underpin every partner model integration at Adobe.
Platform decisions in this role have meaningful downstream impact—across launch timelines, cost efficiency, and the experience of customers across Adobe’s creative products. This is an opportunity for someone who is highly technical, operationally excellent, and motivated by building reliable infrastructure that powers creative experiences at global scale.
What You’ll Do
Platform Reliability & Scale
Own the health and performance of the partner model integration platform—uptime, latency, error rates, and throughput—and lead resolution efforts when issues arise
Define and maintain technical standards for partner model integrations: API patterns, authentication requirements, latency expectations, and enterprise readiness criteria that all new integrations must meet
Monitor operational health continuously and communicate platform status, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to the Partner Model Strategy PM and senior engineering leadership
Balance traffic across providers to manage error rates and maintain user experience during provider outages, throttling events, or capacity constraints
Capacity & Provider Operations
Manage capacity planning and procurement across all active partner model providers—owning pre-buy decisions, provisioned capacity agreements, and pay-as-you-go configurations in coordination with finance and the Partner Model Strategy PM
Lead the technical relationship with model providers on API onboarding, throughput negotiation, SLA management, and issue escalation; serve as Adobe’s primary operational contact for provider-side technical matters
Track capacity utilization across active integrations and proactively identify risks to launch timelines or customer experience before they become incidents
Coordinate new model onboarding from a platform readiness perspective—ensuring integration standards are met, capacity is provisioned, and metering is correctly configured before launch
Metering, Access & Security
Define metering and credit accounting policy for partner model usage—including credit rounding, fractional generation handling, and per-session accounting—in close collaboration with the Partner Model Strategy PM
Ensure robust platform-level enforcement of access controls, credit limits, and enterprise policy for all partner model requests, regardless of which Adobe surface initiates them
Own fraud mitigation and abuse prevention at the platform layer; define and maintain controls that protect Adobe’s capacity and cost exposure
Maintain consistent access control behavior across individual and enterprise user workflows, ensuring platform enforcement aligns with product-level access decisions
What You Need to Succeed
5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time in a platform, infrastructure, or API product role where reliability, scale, and technical standards were central to the work
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects end to end—from technical requirements through launch—coordinating across engineering, finance, legal, and external partners
Strong technical fluency: you are comfortable discussing API design, rate limiting, capacity provisioning, metering architecture, and authentication patterns with engineering partners, and making product decisions grounded in those conversations
Experience managing external technical vendor or provider relationships, including throughput negotiation, SLA tracking, and incident escalation
Operational discipline: you build structured systems for tracking platform health, capacity utilization, and launch readiness, and you communicate status clearly and proactively to stakeholders
Sound judgment on cost and reliability tradeoffs—you understand that decisions about capacity commitments, metering policy, and traffic routing have direct financial and customer experience consequences
Clear written and verbal communication in English; platform decisions and standards need to be well documented and communicated to engineering and product stakeholders across global teams
