Position Summary
Drive German business tax compliance activities for corporate entities by leading the preparation and review of tax reporting, tax returns, dividend withholding tax returns, and law firm tax return submissions. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex deliverables, guide team members across experience levels, and support a high-quality, deadline-driven tax compliance process. The Senior Manager, Tax Services will also help strengthen operating effectiveness through onboarding, work allocation, training, and process documentation initiatives.

As a Senior Manager, Tax Services on the German business tax team in USI, you will be responsible for…
Lead the preparation and review of German business tax deliverables for various corporate entities, including tax reporting, tax returns, dividend withholding tax returns, and law firm tax return submissions
Manage day-to-day delivery activities, including planning, review workflows, issue resolution, and adherence to timelines and quality standards
Oversee onboarding, training, and work allocation across team members with varying levels of experience and technical knowledge
Identify process gaps and drive process improvement, standardization, and documentation across recurring tax compliance activities
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and support escalations, status reporting, and delivery management for assigned engagements
The team
The German business tax team in USI is engaged in preparation and reviews of various type of corporate entities in Germany which includes tax reporting, tax returns, DWT returns, law firm tax return submissions etc. We are a team with professionals of varying experience and skills in tax technical, the team is involved in training, onboarding, work allocations, process improvement/documentation etc.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Tax, or a related field
Experience preparing and reviewing German corporate tax compliance deliverables
Experience with tax reporting, tax return preparation, dividend withholding tax returns, and related compliance submissions
Experience managing review cycles, delivery timelines, and quality checks for tax processes
Experience supporting team oversight activities, including onboarding, work allocation, and training
Experience creating or maintaining process documentation and process improvement records
Ability to work 11 AM to 8 PM shift timings
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Commerce, or Business Administration
Experience working with multiple Germany-based corporate entity structures
Experience leading German business tax compliance teams
Experience working in a shared services, global delivery, or offshore support model
Experience with process improvement initiatives in tax operations
Experience coordinating with law firms or external advisors for tax compliance submissions
