The Role
We’re looking to start an Engineering Operations function to scale our growing engineering team. You should expect to bring a zero-to-one mindset in implementing centralized tooling for workflow automation, planning, and reporting across a growing number of delivery teams. You’ll join our engineering leadership team and help us set organization-wide strategy, establish our product delivery lifecycle, and implement processes and workflow automations that help our engineering teams deliver high quality work in a predictable manner. You’ll collaborate closely with our product teams to ensure planning cycles and reporting are aligned across the product, engineering, and design triad. In 2026, this role will focus on the immediate need for quality metrics and consistent delivery across teams. In the long term, we’ll expand to DORA metrics and operational efficiency, dependency management, and large scale technical program management.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Metrics and Continuous Improvement - Define, implement, and manage engineering performance metrics. Own operations reviews, tracking, and reporting to leadership, and creates a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Partner with Product and QA teams to ensure data pipelines and dashboards are accurate and actionable.
Product Delivery Lifecycle - Define and implement engineering work flow to ensure on time delivery of product releases. Collaborate with the product organization to establish timelines for planning, testing, and QA.
Technical Roadmap and Program Management - Maintain roadmap of cross cutting reliability and scalability projects to ensure business scales to our customer growth. Collaborate with engineering teams to assess technical risks and product ops to balance tech work with product delivery.
Financial and Vendor Management - Manage budgets for developer tooling, DX platforms, and operational vendors. Partner with DevOps and Finance on procurement, ROI analysis, and vendor strategy. Ensure investments deliver measurable improvements in productivity and quality.
Get Creative with AI - Leverage AI tools, workflows, and automations to reduce repeated work, learn faster, and shorten time to value in deliveries.
The ideal candidate should have…
5+ years of experience in software operations, technical program management, or engineering leadership within high-growth technology organizations. MBA is a plus.
Proven success in leading cross functional teams and working with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with multi-site, multi-geographical team engagement and working across global timezones.
Experience managing enterprise Jira, automations, integrations, and reporting.
Problem solving skills, ability to collect relevant information or input from organizational stakeholders, and drive to connect details to the big picture view of projects.
Creativity in using AI to solve problems and automate aspects of the role.
